FAQs

How much does a tattoo cost?

This is similar to asking “how much for a car?” The answer is that it depends! It depends on size, complexity, location, whether color is added, and importantly time to tattoo/sessions, etc. My rate is $150 an hour. Typically, flash designs are lower priced and may have set price ranges, while customs are dependent on the list above!

Can you tattoo someone elses art?

No. Unless you purchased a tattoo ticket or got written permission from the said artist, I will not tattoo another person’s artwork. I am happy to draw something up that is similar, but not exact, to the reference photo you have. I have my own art style and I would prefer to have my own style incorporated into your design while providing you with a unique tattoo!

How should I prepare for my tattoo?

Preparing for your tattoo is super important! Be sure you’re regularly drinking water prior to your appointment! On the day of your appointment, please please please be sure you eat a good meal prior! No need to shave your tattoo area prior to your appointment as I will shave you at your appointment. Try not to wear white or light-colored clothing as tattoo ink can stain your clothing. Wear loose clothing that can be moved/adjusted so we can tattoo that area with ease!

Can You send me a photo of my design early?

Custom designs are shown on the day of the tattoo and changes can be made then! I do not mind changing small details to the design to your liking since ultimately, you will be the one wearing the tattoo forever! If large design changes are wanted, we may need to reschedule so that I have time to make your idea perfect!

Can i use numbing cream?

You may use numbing cream at your own discretion. No tattoo, regardless of any numbing agent used, will be painless. Do not use any numbing cream that has more than 5% of lidocaine or other numbing agents. No numbing cream on the market is FDA approved for tattoos, and some popular brands are actively in lawsuits with the FDA for having more lidocaine than allowed for non-prescription creams.

If you decide you still want to use them, do a small patch test on your skin PRIOR to your appointment day, to see if any reactions occur. Do this EVERY time, even if you’ve used this brand before!

Numbing cream has the potential to cause allergic reactions, severe chemical burns, and may cause a difficulty for me as the artist if it changes the texture of your skin, therefore, I cannot provide free touch ups for your tattoo.

I do have Bactine spray to numb your tattoo during your tattoo session and I am happy to use it if you feel like the pain is overwhelming! This is to help take the edge off, but I limit us to 2 Bactine breaks so that appointments do not overlap.

Can I Bring a guest?

Yes! Due to the size of the rooms, you’re welcome to bring one person with you while getting tattooed! If you have more than one person, the rest will have to wait in the lobby downstairs!

What do you like to tattoo?

I love to tattoo animals (brownie points to whoever wants a rabbit, canine, bird, or big cat), my flash, and botanicals. I enjoy lots of creative freedom and trust!
